Alphanumeric sender ID

An SMS sender ID your customers recognise

Confirmations, addresses and reminders arrive under your business name instead of a number. The voice agent sends them during the call or an automation sends them afterwards, and we help you register the alias where required.

During the call

The agent sends the SMS while still on the line

When a caller asks for an address, a link or a recap, the agent texts it to them without breaking off the conversation. They have it on their phone and don't need to write anything down.

  • Your address, with directions to find you
  • A link to a form, your catalogue or your website
  • A recap of the appointment just booked

Automations

Automatic texts after every outcome

In automations, SMS is an action like any other: it goes out when a call ends with a given outcome, after a wait you choose, or on an hourly, daily or weekly schedule. For example, people who didn't answer get a message under your name.

  • No answer: a text asking them to call you back
  • Waits of up to 90 days before sending
  • Text tailored with AI based on the conversation
  • Scheduled runs every hour, day or week

What you can do with an alphanumeric sender ID

SMS arrives without mobile data or an app, which makes it the right channel for short, important notices. For conversations, pair it with WhatsApp.

  • Short, clear messages

Confirmations, addresses, booking references and notices: the information people need right away, in a few lines.

  • An outbound-only channel

With an alphanumeric sender, customers can't reply. If you want a dialogue, use WhatsApp or email, with replies in the inbox.

  • A prompt to call back

Include the number to call in the text: when the customer rings, your AI receptionist can pick up.

  • Part of every flow

Combine SMS with conditions, waits and AI steps, alongside WhatsApp and email in the same automation.

  • Consent on record

Consent is tracked on every contact, so you know who you can text for service notices or promotional messages.

  • Sending history

The run history shows when each SMS went out and which event triggered it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is an alphanumeric sender ID?

It's an SMS where a name replaces the phone number as the sender, using up to 11 letters and digits, such as your business name. It helps customers see straight away who is writing to them.

How do I register an SMS sender alias in Italy?

In Italy, aliases used as SMS senders must be registered under AGCOM rules, naming the company that owns the name. Hetyna walks you through the process and tells you which details are needed, so you can start sending under your own name.

Can customers reply to an SMS with a sender ID?

No. With an alphanumeric sender the SMS is one-way, so the customer can't reply to it. If you need a conversation, use WhatsApp, or include a number to call in the text, where your AI receptionist can answer.

When should I use SMS instead of WhatsApp?

SMS reaches any phone, even without internet or an app, and is ideal for short notices such as addresses, confirmations and reminders. WhatsApp is better when you want a back-and-forth with the customer or richer content. With Replicer you can use both in the same flow.

Can I send promotional SMS?

Yes, if you have the recipient's consent to marketing messages, and consent stays tracked on each contact. Service notices such as confirmations and reminders follow different rules. Either way, your business remains responsible for lawful sending, so check with your privacy adviser if in doubt.

Send texts under your business name

Choose your alias, we complete the registration together, and you connect SMS to your agent and automations.
